Is GotMyNumber free?

Yes. Free to look up a number, read the reports and report a call, with no login and no adverts.

Will it tell me who called?

It shows what people reported about calls from the number and which phone company Ofcom allocated the range to. It never names a private person against a number, and nothing can be paid to unlock one. No reports does not mean a number is safe, and unknown does not mean suspicious.

Can a business show a number is theirs?

Not yet: claiming a number is not open. A business that wants customers to save its number can hand out a Universal Contacts touchpoint.
